I have 2 dark blue sofa’s. What colours will suite?
Floors are polished pine, with no furniture as yet, But tending towards wooden. The home is kind of open plan country, but can easily change. We live on a farm, so money is a bit of an issue.
No rugs, decorations or lamps etc as yet.
Natural light is not an issue with long windows on 3 walls. They are not floor to ceiling…2 are only waist height to ceiling, the other is a glass sliding door.The curtain fabric I am considering buying is a print with the darker blue colour of the lounge in it, plus some subtle light blues, lime greens and sage greens. Some of the light blue could be almost be classed as lilac/purple. I was thinking pinch pleated drapes. The windows are dark brown aluminium sliding, and the window surrounds are polished wood, same as the floors.
At present the walls and ceilings are undercoated.
Any help with colour selections and any ideas would be really appreciated.

Hi, as you live on a farm, I would definitely keep with the country look!
I love the sound of your fabric that you are considering for the curtains, sounds really pretty, lovely for a country look! And pinch pleat style in curtains always look really smart, so go for that style! The dressings on a window are really important in a room.
I would certainly go for the fabric and pick out the sage green for the walls, but go for a pale sage rather than a darker tone.
And maybe add a few cushions incorporating the lilac, blue and green, you don’t have to stick to the same pattern as in your curtains as long as you stick to the same colours, i.e, stripes,floral,check and plain but with the green,lilac,blue in them.
Maybe a couple of large lamps in natural as well as rugs, just to keep an even keel with colours and neutrals would not detract from your lovely wooden floor!
Maybe try and find some larger vases, and fill with twigs, you could also put “fairy” lights in the twigs to make a feature.
