Bungalow Styles
Central Austin is full of pre-war homes commonly referred to as bungalows, and then search by many for their charm, warmth and attention to detail.
The word "bungalow" comes from the Indian word "Bangla", which refers to houses built Bengal style. "Bangla" were cottages with low roofs and large porches built around them. The British took the idea of the Indians and began building their summer homes in the same way, and the bungalow, as we know, was born-all rooms on one floor, built around a central hall. Once the first American bungalow Cape Cod built in 1879, the style of the house went around the country.
During 1900, there was a mass migration westward, with much people settled in California. The architectural firm of Greene and Greene created a half past one story bungalow, which became very popular and may soon be purchased through catalogs mail order as Sears Roebuck and Montgomery Ward. The bungalows that now cover California Bungalows listed as "California", if the style is very popular in throughout the country, including here in Austin.
Although there are different styles of the cabin, such as arts and crafts, prairie style, Queen Anne, all share the same qualities and characteristics. Bungalows were built in the Battle of the complex movement of Victoria, and return to heat, family-oriented housing where trade has been the home builder filed. From bungalows have been created for the accommodation of summer, reduce heat with large overhanging eaves, lots of windows, and rooms without corridors, to create good airflow through the house. If the house has a second level, is much smaller in size the first floor. Most bungalows also have large porches and stone chimneys leading to grand fireplaces inside.
Many Arts and Crafts bungalows are situated around Austin, with a number strong in the Hyde Park. Arts and Crafts movement began in 1880 by a group of English designers, and celebrated the use of handicrafts, simple forms and materials natural. Arts and Crafts homes or houses of artisans, have gently sloping roofs, wide eaves with triangular brackets, large porches with thick round or square columns. Inside, most Craftsman bungalows, have many windows, exposed beams, and furniture and seating.
Bungalows of others, as the House of Norwood 1922 Lady Bird Lake (currently under disrepair) are built in the Prairie style. Prairie hotel bungalows have made their debut in the U.S. in the 1900s and were developed by a group of architects in Chicago that became known as the Prairie School. Frank Lloyd Wright was the master of the prairie-style house, fireplaces characterized by broad, flat, the center standing of the house higher than the adjacent wings, and often with a Japanese touch.
The Queen Anne bungalow, also found in Hyde Park and elsewhere, is very asymmetric and has a decorative arrangement. Are often with porches surround, and glass art, and sometimes one or two dormers leaving a half-slope roof.
Though the architecture varies, the feeling of the cabin remains the same throughout the family, and stylish in her hand, and Austin Full rests.

Cake Decorating $68.51 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Cake decorating is one of the sugar arts that uses icing or frosting and other edible decorative elements to make otherwise plain cakes more visually interesting. Alternatively, cakes can be molded and sculpted to resemble threedimensional persons, places and things. In many areas of the world, decorated cakes are often a focal point of a special celebration such as a birthday, graduation, bridal shower, wedding, or anniversary. During the 1840s, the advent of temperaturecontrolled ovens and the production of baking soda and baking powder made baking cakes much easier. Even though baking from scratch decreased during the latter part of the 20th century in the United States decorated cakes have remained an important part of celebrations such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, showers and other special occasions. Recently cakes decorated with fondant have become extremely popular and resulted in several reality based TV shows across the country.
